My Approach
You deserve a space for healing.
Specialties and Areas of Focus
My Approach and What to Expect:
Collaborative, affirming, and practical: Sessions combine empathic listening with concrete skills, tailored to neurotype, identity, and life context.
Pace set by you: Work proceeds at a pace you can tolerate, with attention to safety and regulation for trauma or chronic illness.
Measurable steps and real-world application: We set clear goals and practice strategies you can use between sessions so therapy translates into everyday change.
My areas of focus are:
Honoring lived experience, identity, and values: I center each person’s unique history, cultural background, and personal values as the foundation of therapy. Treatment is collaborative and tailored to what matters most to you, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
Neurodiversity-affirming care: I work with autistic clients and people with ADHD or other neurodivergent profiles, emphasizing practical supports, sensory and executive function strategies, and respect for neurodivergent ways of being.
Anxiety and worry: Evidence-informed tools to reduce physiological and cognitive symptoms of anxiety, build distress tolerance, and shift your thinking and patterns.
Life transitions: Support for periods of change such as career shifts, relationship changes, relocation, parenting transitions, and other milestones. I am here to support you to clarify priorities and navigate uncertainty.
Trauma-informed work: Safe, paced approaches that prioritize safety, regulation, and empowerment. I integrate Internal Family Systems skills-based stabilization with processing when and if you’re ready.
Chronic illness and disability: Practical and psychological support for living with chronic health conditions or disability, including coping with grief, identity impact, pacing, and advocacy. As a therapist with chronic illnesses, you don’t have to worry about me not understanding the weight and complexity of living with chronic illnesses.
Trans and gender-affirming therapy: Affirming support for transgender, nonbinary, and gender-questioning clients to find and affirm your authentic self, explore any transition plans, and have someone to share with about your experience as a trans person in our world.
Relationships: Therapy for individual relationship concerns and relational patterns—communication, boundary-setting, attachment wounds, conflict resolution, and repairing trust.
What May Bring You to Our Work Together:
Exploring identity and values: If you want to better understand who you are and live in alignment with your values, we’ll map what matters to you, uncover internalized messages that conflict with your values, and create small, doable steps toward authentic living.
Feeling more empowered in self and relationships: We’ll strengthen assertiveness, boundary-setting, and self-compassion so you can express needs clearly and engage in relationships from a place of choice.
Relief from anxiety, self-judgment, and worry: You’ll learn strategies to reduce physiological reactivity, interrupt self-critical cycles, and build a more flexible relationship with uncertain thoughts and feelings.
Getting out of patterns that leave you stuck: Through exploration of habitual coping and meaning-making, we’ll identify repetitive patterns, experiment with new responses, and changes that fit your life.
Building trust in yourself and your needs: Therapy will focus on increasing self-trust: recognizing your internal signals, honoring boundaries, making values-consistent decisions, and cultivating confidence in caring for yourself.
